We give thanks to Almighty God for a wonderful day in which offer worship to Him on this Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! We thank our Blessed Mother for her powerful intercession for a holy and effective year of study and a deepening of our bond with her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as with one another as we pursue true religion and all the virtues together. Thanks also to Father Taj Glodd, who prayed a beautiful Low Mass and was assisted at the altar of God by Mr. Joshua LeBlanc. Both men served God on our behalf with great reverence.

Thanks also to our Chancellor, Father Paul Broussard, who facilitated our celebration at Saint Leo IV in Roberts Cove. He led all the tutors and members of the Parent-Tutor Council, as representatives of the whole community, in an oath against the heresy of Modernism (found here) which Pope Saint Pius X mandated be taken by all Catholic educators:

Taking the Oath
Finally, we would like to thank all our friends and the families of the SJCA community who gathered for this Feast. We are truly blessed to find ourselves in such a wonderful group of families, so committed to the recapturing of the humble virtues of religion and piety. The food and drink which everyone chipped in to bring was terrific and only surpassed by the quality of the company of all present. May it be only the first of many such celebrations for SJCA, and may we continually take our strength from God, as the Psalmist sung, and go "from virtue to virtue" [Ps. 84(83):6].

Sancta Maria, Regina Angelorum, ora pro nobis!
Sancte Joannes a Cruce, ora pro nobis!
